$150. Highest academic standing in the two introductory general chemistry courses, CHEM 112 and 115.

$150. Highest academic standing in the analytical chemistry courses, CHEM 221 and 322.

ACS Division of Analytical Chemistry Prize

6-month subscription to Analytical Chemistry.

Inorganic Chemistry Book Prize

$150. Highest academic standing in the inorganic chemistry courses, CHEM 231 and 332.

Organic Chemistry Book Prize

$150. Highest academic standing in the organic chemistry courses, CHEM 255 and 354.

ACS Organic Division of Organic Chemistry Prize

Certificate and Affiliate Membership in ACS Organic Division.

R.L. Eager Book Prize

$150. Highest academic standing in the introductory physical chemistry course, CHEM 242.

Canadian Society for Chemistry Award

Engraved medal and certificate. Highest academic standing in the penultimate year in a Four-year or Honours B.Sc. in Chemistry.

Chemistry Society Book Prize

$100. Given in the final year to a student in a Four-year or Honours B.Sc. program in chemistry who has completed at least 36 credit units in chemistry with an average of ~70% or greater. The student must have a keen interest in chemistry and have participated in departmental functions and committees (e.g. CIC student’s chapter executive, student representative for departmental committees).

Dean's Convocation Award

Highest academic standing of the students convocating.

J.M. Pepper Prize in Chemistry

$200. Awarded to a student in either the third or fourth year of a Four-year or Honours B.Sc. in Chemistry who has shown a high level of scholarship and who shows promise of becoming active in research.

Society of Chemical Industry Merit Award

Engraved plaque. Highest standing in the fourth year of a Four-year or Honours B.Sc. in Chemistry, a minimum average of 75% and completed the program in 4 years.

Thorvaldson Undergraduate Scholarship

$1000. Open to students entering the third or fourth year of their program in Honours Chemistry. Selection is based on academic achievement.

Patricia Currie Award

$1000. Open to female continuing students who have completed at least two years towards their four year Bachelor of Science degree, specializing in Chemistry. Selection is based on demonstrated involvement in extra-curricular activities, particularly those that contribute to the quality of campus life, such as involvement in student societies, volunteerism and peer tutoring/mentoring.

Alan C. Nixon Summer Research Award

$4000 stipend to students who perform summer research under the supervision of a Chemistry faculty member. Additional funds are made available to the student to cover a full-time research position over the summer.  Students must be registered in a full-time bachelor's degree program in the sciences (preferably chemistry) and have completed at least their first year of study.

John and Mary Spinks Summer Research Award

$4000 stipend to students who perform summer research under the supervision of a Chemistry faculty member. Additional funds are made available to the student to cover a full-time research position over the summer.  Students must be registered in a full-time bachelor's degree program in the sciences (preferably chemistry) and have completed at least their first year of study.

Dr. and Mrs. E.M. von Rudloff Bursary

Open to undergraduate or graduate students. Preference is given to students studying in the area of natural products. Selection is based on demonstrated financial need and satisfactory academic performance.

Dr. Robert A. Fuller Award

$7000 award given to a student in a BSC4Y or BSCHON in chemistry who has graduated from a high school in Saskatchewan and completed at least 30 credit units in Chemistry. Selection criteria are cumulative GPA, previous contributions to the Department of Chemistry, indications that the student will pursue a career in chemistry, and financial need.

Harold Ross Saddington Memorial Award

$7000. Up to three awards given annually, with at least two to chemistry graduate students and up to one to a chemistry undergraduate student. Given to an undergraduate student in a BSC4Y or BSCHON in chemistry who has completed at least 30 credit units in Chemistry. Selection criteria are cumulative GPA, previous contributions to the Department of Chemistry, indications that the student will pursue a career in chemistry, and financial need.
