The Department of Chemistry, together with the Department of Chemical Engineering, also co-hosts the prestigious Spinks Lecture series. Named to recognize the many contributions of former Chemistry Professor, Dean and University President, Dr. J.W.T. Spinks, this series has attracted a distinctive series of speakers, all eminent leaders in modern chemistry research.
