Atrayee Basu is a visual artist who lives in Saskatoon and has been practicing art for years. She enjoys researching and experimenting with materials and creating something new from them. She incorporates found materials in her artwork such as drawing, printmaking, sculpture, etc. Her work is tactile and abstract.
Atrayee on teaching: My philosophy is to engage students with storytelling and fundamental concepts. It gives them space to think and connect with ideas based on technical terms and encourages students to wander through their imaginative world before starting their projects. I encourage individuality and authenticity.
