Volunteering
Our department participates in a number of promotional events throughout the fall and winter terms. We often need assistance with set-up, take-down, and departmental representation. These opportunities are open to both undergraduate and graduate students.
Volunteer experience looks great on a resume and helps to connect our students with the larger campus community.
Events include:- USask Welcome Week (September - In the Bowl)
- USask Open House (September - In the PAC)
- USask Study Abroad Info Fair (October - Arts Tunnel)
- USask Graduate Students Info Fair (November - Arts Tunnel)
- SGS Open House (Late Nov. / Early Dec. - Delta Bessborough)
- Spotlight on Mining (Date varies - Geology Classroom Support)
Peer Mentors
The Arts & Science Peer Mentor Program matches up small groups of first-year students with two upper-year peer mentors in our first year Learning Communities programs.
As a peer mentor, you will have the opportunity to connect to serve as a role model for first year students and help guide them on their university journey.
