Governor General's Cold Medal Award

Aubry-Wake, Carolyn, PhD received this honour, Spring Convocation June 2023.

The award recognizes outstanding academic performance in a graduate program based on a student's thesis, coursework, publications and other criteria. Students in every USask graduate program are eligible to be nominated.

Aubry-Wake's research focuses on how mountain snow and ice serve as crucial water resources for downstream environments, especially in the context of climate change.

She was supervised by Dr. John Pomeroy, Distinguished Professor.

Dr. André Luis da Silva Bertoncini received this award for his PhD thesis 'Using Enhanced Observations to Improve Streamflow Prediction in Cold Mountain River Basins'. He was supervised by Dr. John Pomeroy, Distinguished Professor.

Rohr, Veronica, MA – Winner of the Graduate Thesis Award in the area of Social Sciences A, University of Saskatchewan, 2022

Veronica's was titled 'Incorporating Food Security Into Regional Strategic Environmental Assessment'. Her supervisor was Dr. Jill Blakley.
