Our Collection

The collection began in 1974 and has increasingly grown over the years. Greco-Roman antiquity was chosen as the starting point and has since expanded to include the cultures of ancient Egypt, the ancient Near East, and delved into early Christian and Medieval art. It encompasses both original artefacts and replicas, including a large collection of original ancient glass, an original bronze bust of Hannibal, and a replica of the Venus de Milo.

Both replica and original works of art are organized into cultural/temporal periods. There are separate categories for the Museum’s coin collection, Minden Glass collection, and Hanson Islamic collection, showcasing their unique, original artefacts.
