About the Program

Certificate Description

Students in Queer Theory, Gender Diversity, and Sexualities Studies will gain proficiency in a variety of research methods, including mixed, qualitative, quantitative, community engaged, and creative approaches. They will learn about Two Spirit, trans, and queer scholarship and practice, and will engage critically with the impacts of queerphobia, transphobia, and sexism, as these intersect with racism, ableism, colonialism, and other systems of oppression. Students will develop transferable skills that contribute to professional roles dedicated to promoting equity, diversity, inclusion and decolonization.
