This course is for people who are new to art making, or returning after a hiatus, and would like a fun and low-stakes introduction to a variety of painting mediums and techniques. In the first half of the course, Robin will introduce students to watercolour, gouache, acrylics, coloured inks, and water-soluble crayons. In the second half we will continue to practice with the mediums by exploring a variety of subject matters and techniques, including painting skies with watercolour washes, making mountains with palette knives, and exploring mixed media techniques. The icing on the cake is Community Arts provides all the art materials and supplies needed for the course.
