About Us

Our classes offer children and youth a chance to explore their creativity and learn and develop new skills in the visual arts in a fun and supportive environment. Through a wide variety of media and tools, students will gain knowledge and skills in a way that engages, challenges, and inspires them. Our children and youth classes are for those who are 5-16 years of age.

Note that classes are designated and separated into age groups. However, classes for every age group may not be offered in every term. Youth aged 16+ may register for our adult classes.  Youth aged 15+ may apply for exceptional consideration by calling 306-966-4355 or via email at: gisele.piche@usask.ca

PD Art Days

Our PD Art Day: Paint and Draw 1-day-long classes offer children and youth a chance to explore their creativity and learn and develop new skills in the visual arts in a fun and supportive environment when their school system has a PD day and there is no school. Through a wide variety of media and tools, students will gain knowledge and skills in a way that engages, challenges, and inspires them. 

Kids' Art Week

Kids' Art Week are art intensive weeks that take place during the Winter (February) and Spring (April) Breaks during the school year. Young artists will explore different media and styles of art such as drawing, painting, printmaking, multimedia, and sculpture, under the guidance of skilled and caring artists and art educators daily from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Kids' Art Weeks take place at the Williams Building. Physical activity in our gymnasium and outdoor time (weather permitting) are included

Summer Art Camps

Join us this summer for creative adventures!

Art Camp participants ages 6-11 will explore different media and styles of art such as drawing, painting, printmaking, multimedia, and sculpture, under the guidance of skilled and caring artists and art educators in 4 or 5 day camps throughout the summer. Camps take place at the Williams Building. Outdoor time and field trips to campus and neighbourhood destinations are included.  

Refund Policy

Withdrawing or cancelling your registration can be done up to 2 weeks prior to start date. A refund will be processed less a $100.00 administration fee. No refunds will be processed after this time. Non-attendance does not constitute notice of withdrawal.

Cancellation Policy

The Arts & Sciences Non-Credit Programming Unit reserves the right to cancel courses when there is insufficient enrollment, in these cases a full refund will be issued. No transfers will be allowed from one term to another term. If a class is cancelled during the term, these hours will be rescheduled and made up. However, if a student misses a class, no rescheduling or make-up classes occur. 

Financial Assistance


Creative Kids Saskatchewan offers financial assistance of up to $750 per child for Saskatchewan children and youth ages 4 to 19 for participation in art, music, dance, theatre, creative, and culture classes. Funding is intended to reduce costs for families with limited incomes. Families may apply for up to $750 per child for their activity. 
Deadlines take place annually in May, August and December.

Deadlines:
December 2025 – For activities that begin in January or February 2026.
May 2026 - For activites that begin Summer or Fall 2026.
August 2026 - For activites that begin Fall 2026 or Winter 2027.
December 2026 - For activities that begin Winter 2026 or Spring 2027.
