About the Building
Built in 1909 by Storey and Van Egmond, this building housed our land titles offices from 1909 until 1987. The building was made of fireproof brick and stone, crucial to a facility where important documents would be stored. The staircase, entranceway, and foundation are all made of Tyndall Stone. Above the doorway is the provincial crest, wheat and a lion. The date of construction is written in roman numerals. Can you read it?
