Dinosaur Camps 2026
Explore the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous periods of Earth's history with us! Our summer camps for kids aged 6-10 offer the opportunity to get curious and creative during a fun-filled week of activities anchored in the sciences of geology and paleontology. Activities include building a dinosaur puppet, playing an adventure game set in the time of the dinosaurs, creating a dinosaur sandbox, examining specimens, and exploring the museum while learning about the earth’s formation and geological history, evolution, volcanoes, and mass extinctions. Please note that the camp topics and activities will be the same each week.
Camps run from 9am to 4pm. Before care from 8:30 to 9am and after care from 4 to 4:30pm are included in the cost.You do not need to register for before care or after care and you can use them as needed.
- 5-day camps: $360.00
- 4-day camps: $290.00
Refund policy
Cancelling your registration can be done up to one week prior to the start date. A refund will be processed minus the non-refundable fee of $100 (5-day camps) or $80 (4-day camps). No refunds will be processed after this time. If spots are still available and given enough notice, you may be able to transfer to a different week at no charge; please contact us to inquire.
Camp location
Camps are held at the Museum of Natural Sciences at the University of Saskatchewan, in adjacent classroms, and in other indoor and outdoor spaces on campus. The museum is located at 114 Science Place. The easiest access is through the main doors off The Bowl.

Due to the construction underway near the museum, there is currently no access through the Collaborative Science Research Building at 112 Science Place. If you coming from that direction, follow the detour signs the take you to the museum around the outside of the buildings.
Drop-off and pick-up
When dropping off and picking up your child at the Museum of Natural Sciences, you can park at no charge at any of the locations on Science Place highlighted in pink from 8:30-9:15am and from 3:45-4:30pm.

Although further away from the museum, free parking for dropping off and picking up USask camp participants is also available in Lot Z.

At other times, you will need to pay at the meters or park in one of the lots such as Place Riel. See metered and paid lot parking for more information.
Signing children in and out
Participants will need to be signed in and out each day by an adult. Adults picking children up will be asked for photo ID and must be listed as a pick-up person either during registration, by a parent/guardian emailing museum.naturalsciences@usask.ca to have them added, or by a parent/guardian letting our camp staff know in person.What should your child bring to camp?
- Nut-free lunch and two snacks
- Water bottle
- Clothes that can get messy and stained
- Runners or other closed-toed shoes
- Sun hat (and sunglasses if you wish)
- Sunscreen
