10 weeks: September 20 to December 6 (no classes on October 11 and November 15)
Location: In-person Williams Building room 316
$360 + GST/PST (Textbook is the same one as used in Cree 1. The cost of gifting tobacco and a blanket to the Cree language knowledge keeper ARE included) 
Prerequisite: Students must be assessed at spoken Level 2 or completed Cree 1

Syllabus

For students who can express basic information about themselves and ask someone for that same information (name, age, address, work, profession, nationality, etc.). Counting, spelling and basic communication in class are acquired skills. Students will review mastery of:


• Greet & welcome someone    
• Indicate & ask how someone is doing    
• Take leave of someone    
• Thank someone    
• Express gratitude    
• Indicate & ask someone where they are from    
• Indicate & ask someone their name    
• Count from 0 to 10    
• Indicate & ask about someone’s parents

Students will learn & master:        
•  Make & respond to statement about the kind of day it is     
•  Indicate & ask about the weather today      
• Use kinship terms to indicate immediate family    
• Indicate immediate family members using the correct suffix indicating “my”      
• Indicate immediate family members using the correct suffix indicating paternal or maternal side of the family
