Intro to Stained Glass: Lead Method

$280 (includes equipment rental) + $50 glass fee (required)
Prerequisite: None
Discover the traditional art of leaded stained glass in this introductory course. Students will be introduced to lead method tools, pattern preparation, setup and layout. Learn to measure, cut, grind, and fit glass before assembling your pieces using lead came channels which will be soldered and puttied to create strength and support. The result willl be beautiful luminous stained glass panels.

Supplies
Supplies included in glass fee include:
- Stained glass
- Putty/mudding
- Whitening material
- Access to tools and equipment
Student supply kit (to be purchased separately: from instructor) includes:
- Solder
- Flux
- Flux brush
- Wire brush
- Horseshoe nails
- Lead came channel (2 kinds)*
*Note: Lead pieces should be stored in studio to prevent bending as they are 6 feet long
