Stained Glass II: Foiled Lamps

In-person with Lenneke Verweij

Course Description

Stained glass lamps are luminous, functional works of art which add light and style to any room. Designs may feature multiple angles, bevels, jewels, or ornamental wirework accents, and may be finished in a variety of ways, such as with a vase cap or glass crown. In this course, students will explore foiled flat panel lamp construction. Design your own pattern, or choose a pattern concept (instructor will supply pattern books), individualizing the design with colours, textures and details. Class discussions and demonstrations will cover the various design, construction, and finishing techniques used in stained glass lamp making, guiding students from pattern selection through to the assembly of a beautiful, finished stained glass lamp shade.
