Camp Information
We're looking forward to seeing your child at camp! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at museum.naturalsciences@usask.ca or 306-966-5729.
Camp location
Camps are held at the Museum of Natural Sciences at the University of Saskatchewan, in adjacent classroms, and in other indoor and outdoor spaces on campus. The museum is located at 114 Science Place. The easiest access is through the main doors off The Bowl.
Due to the construction underway adjacent to the museum, there is currently no access through the Collaborative Science Research Building at 112 Science Place. If you're coming from that direction, it's is easiest to come around on the outside and/or follow the detour signs to the museum.
Drop-off and pick-up
Camps run from 9am to 4pm. Before care from 8:30 to 9am and after care from 4 to 4:30pm are included in the cost, you do not need to register for it, and you can use it as needed.
When dropping off and picking up your child at the Museum of Natural Sciences, you can park at no charge at any of the locations on Science Place highlighted in pink from 8:30-9:15am and from 3:45-4:30pm. At other times, you will need to pay at the meters or park in one of the lots such as Place Riel. See metered and paid lot parking for more information.
What should your child bring to camp?
- Nut-free lunch and two snacks
- Water bottle
- Clothes that can get messy and stained
- Runners or other closed-toed shoes
- Sun hat (and sunglasses if you wish)
- Sunscreen
Signing children in and out
Participants will need to be signed in and out each day by an adult. Adults picking children up will be asked for photo ID and must be listed as a pick-up person either during registration, by a parent/guardian emailing museum.naturalsciences@usask.ca to have them added, or by a parent/guardian letting our camp staff know in person.
