Call for Pamphlet Essay Writers

Essayists with an interest in art

News

Each spring, a new group of BFA candidates produce their thesis exhibitions at the Gordon Snelgrove Gallery. The gallery typically hosts two or three contiguous solo exhibitions per week. For Spring 2017, there are 12 distinct exhibitions running from late February to early April.

We are looking for essayists with an interest in art to write interpretive texts (approximately 800 words) to accompany the exhibits.

The texts will be available in printed form at the gallery, during the exhibitions, online and as a printed anthology after the last exhibits.

On February 4, 2017 a Gallery Workshop will be held with all the artists present. Interested writers will be invited to familiarize themselves with the artists, their work and to exchange contact information.

Contact the Gallery Director, Marcus Miller with expressions of interest as soon as possible: gordon.snelgrove@usask.ca
