Distinguished university professor in the Department of English and Film Studies at the University of Alberta, Patricia Demers recently chaired the Royal Society of Canada's eleven-person Expert Panel on the Status of Canada's Libraries and archives. The panel's report, The Future Now: Canada's Libraries, Archives, and Public Memory / L'avenir au présent: les bibliothèques, les centres d’archives et la mémoire collective au Canada (2014), is available online at the RSC site: www.rsc-src.ca .
