Social Remittances and Parenting Practices among Migrant Families in Canada

Research Interests

Migration, Families, Gender, Intergenerational relationships, Intimate Partner Violence, Infertility and Parenting. These interests were developed within teh context of my Nigerian roots, my past education as well as my experience working with families. It shaped the idea that the family in Nigeria, as well as in the United States, and across varoius cultures is driven by the same needs of structure, stability, and positive meaningful relationships amongst its members.
