Creative Kids Saskatchewan offers financial assistance of up to $750 per child for Saskatchewan children and youth ages 4 to 19 for participation in art, music, dance, theatre, creative, and culture classes. Funding is intended to reduce costs for families with limited incomes. 
Deadlines take place annually in May, August and December.

Deadlines:
May - For activities that begin in Summer or Fall.
August 12- For activites that begin in Fall or Winter.
December 2 - For activities that begin in Winter or Spring.

Withdrawing or cancelling your registration can be done up to 2 weeks prior to start date. A refund will be processed less a $100 administration fee. No refunds will be processed after this time. Non-attendance does not constitute notice of withdrawal.

Our camps are held in the Williams Building, 221 Cumberland Ave North.

If you are driving, there is parking directly behind and adjacent to the Williams Building in Lot 4651. When you come in off Cumberland Ave North, follow the signs that direct you around the loop. Please be aware that the loop is one-way only. Also be cautious when entering and exiting the parking lot, it can be very busy at the beginning and end of the day. 

You can park at no charge in this lot during the time slots of 8-9am, and 3:30-5:15pm for pick-up and drop-off. You will need to pay outside of these times. There is also street parking on Cumberland Avenue.

Camp instructional time runs from 9am to 4pm. All campers can be dropped off starting at 8am and picked up before or up to 5pm on any camp day during your child's camp week with no additional charges. There will be no formal art instruction during before and after care time, but our camp counsellors will have self-guided art activities available for your children to explore.

Please inform us:

• If your child will be dropped off later than 9am
• If your child will be picked up between 4:45pm and 5pm
• Of any changes in your list of designated pickup or contact person(s)
• Of any unforseen circumstances that may impact or alter your child's dropoff/pickup time

Before care is available from 8am to 9am. Parents may drop their children off no earlier than 8am and up to 9am on any camp day during your child's camp week for before care.
Aftercare is available until 5:00 p.m., and all children must be picked up by that time. Parents are encouraged to inform camp sign-in/sign-out staff if their child's anticipated pick-up time is between 4:45 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Parents may call the Community Arts office at 306-966-5530 or 306-966-2180 to communicate or update their pickup time.

At 4:45 p.m., if no anticipated pick-up time has been provided and no communication has been received from the parent regarding a late pick-up, camp sign-in/sign-out staff will begin contacting individuals on the child's authorized pick-up list.

If no authorized pick-up contact can be reached by 5:00 p.m., USask Protective Services (Campus Security) 306-966-5555 will be contacted. USask Protective Services will dispatch an agent to the Williams Building and coordinate with City Police as required.

• Participant drop-off is 8-9am and pick-up is 4-5pm in rooms 224-225 Williams Building (main level).

Any adult picking up a participant must be listed as a pick-up person for that participant. Parents/guardians list all pick-up people during registration. To add extra adults, parents/guardians can let our camp staff know on the first morning of camp. For security and liability reasons, we cannot release children to anyone not on the list. The Staff person will need the full name and contact information of the person being added to the list, and that person must bring ID with them.

Please note that pick-up people will be asked for ID on the first morning of camp when campers are dropped off, and at the end of every day when the campers are picked up. This is our policy to ensure the safety of the children in our camps by handing back guardianship to the authorized individuals. We appreciate your patience.

• Nut-free lunch and two snacks
• Water bottle
• Clothes that can get messy and stained
• Sun hat for sunny days, rainwear for wet days
• Good walking shoes (runners or closed-toe shoes are ideal)
• Sunscreen
• Insect repellent

• Cell phones, tablets, handheld games and other electronic distractions are strongly discouraged. These devices are disruptive to the learning environment and create social imbalance. In an emergency, our staff all carry cell phones and will provide immediate assistance. 
• We suggest limiting candy in lunches and snacks where possible.
• Fancy and formal clothing which may get ruined in a messy environment is discouraged.
• Pocket knives, boxcutters, and items that are weapons or may be used as a weapon are prohibited. 

Yes! This is always a popular part of our camps and our campers are excited to show you all their creations. The art show will be on Friday at 3:30pm in rooms 224-225 (main level).
