Course Description
A fine art exploration for those looking to engage with a variety of art mediums. Each week, students will create artworks using different techniques, materials, and concepts within the major disciplines of the fine arts, including drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media. This course is suitable for people who are new to artmaking, returning after a break, or seeking to expand their repertoire. All tools and consumable materials for use in studio are included.

Syllabus
- Introduction to drawing: charcoal
- Introduction to drawing: pencil
- Introduction to drawing: chalk pastel
- Introduction to drawing: oil pastel
- Introduction to painting: watercolour
- Introduction to sculpture: clay
- Introduction to painting: acrylic portrait
- Introduction to painting: acrylic abstract
- Introduction to mixed media: collage and papercutting
- Introduction to photography: lighting and composition
Supplies
- Mobile device (cell phone or tablet) with integrated camera or digital camera (DSL, mirorless, compact, etc)
- All tools and consumable materials for use in studio are included
Optional:
- Nitrile gloves
- Apron or workshirt to protect clothes
