Intro to Wet Felting Workshop

In this project based one day workshop students will create a cowl out of merino wool, silk and other fibres using wet felting skills that include nuno felting, resist felting and shibori felting techniques. This project is a good introduction to Felting I.
Syllabus
Students will learn:
- Calculation of shrinkage in felting
- Creation and use of resists to make a seamless cowl
- Nuno felting concepts
- Wool layout concepts
Supplies
Materials provided in class by instructor include:
- ~2 oz of merino wool
- assortment of other fibres
- silk pieces
- bubble wrap
- soap
- resist materials
