Director's Remarks

Unity (1918)

A quick few words of thanks.
Normally, this would be the kind of thing you may be reading in a program while you sit in your chair waiting for the play to start. But alas, you can’t be here with us in the theatre. And while there have been times where I have enjoyed being able to watch something from the comfort of my home, I desperately miss being in a room with people, having that shared experience of watching a play together.
But this is far better than not having anything at all. These talented and hard working individuals have certainly given me purpose over these past weeks, and I couldn’t be happier that you will be able to watch them do their work in the theatre, together as a team.
Unity (1918) is a play I had hoped would cross my path. These students and the staff at the Drama Department have given me that gift. I can’t thank them enough. And one thing I hold on to during these times is the fact that it will pass. Things will be different, no doubt, but we will overcome.
