Milaine Curé - Set Designer

Unity (1918) is Milaine's second set design for Greystone Theatre.  She previously designed the set for Greystone's  2020 production of Secret in the Wings, and was also the production/digital designer for Greystone's last two virtual shows.  She enjoyed the challenge of creating a physical acting space while supporting social distancing standards to keep actors safe.
Grainy, sepia photographs, peet moss, golden wheat sheafs and Saskatchewan's endless skies are the inspiration behind the design.  She would like to personally thank the people at the town museum in Unity for gracefully giving her a spontaneous tour and allowing her to view archival images.  Although the play was not factually based on the town, she did appreciate the inspiration.

This show is her final design opportunity for Greystone Theatre and she is proud to announce she has successfully completed her BFA with a major in theatre design as a high achieving student.  She would like personally thank her mentor, Carla Orosz who's honesty and motivation was an important stepping stone in her educational journey.  She looks forward to the next step!!!
