William Robertson (Limited-term Faculty) earned both his B.A. and his M.A. in English at the University of Saskatchewan. The subject of his Master's thesis was Yeats's Crazy Jane poems. Since receiving his M.A. he has worked on his writing, publishing two collections of poetry, Standing On Our Own Two Feet (Coteau, 1986) and Adult Language Warning (Brick, 1991), and a short biography, k.d. lang: Carrying the Torch (ECW, 1992). A third collection of poetry is due in spring, 1997: Somewhere Else (Coteau). He has also worked as a freelance reviewer and editorialist for newspapers, magazines, and radio; has worked in television; and is currently on the editorial boards of two magazines. He has taught freshman English, both as a teaching fellow and as a sessional lecturer, from 1978 to 1983 and since 1994.
