Barry Popowich (Limited-term Faculty), received his Ph.D from the U of Sask in 1992, with a dissertation on Thomas Hardy's Poetry. He has published articles on Robert Browning and Patrick Kavanagh. Currently, besides sessional duties with the Department of English, he is a Continuing Lecturer at Saint Thomas More College, and for Gabriel Dumont Institute (SUNTEP) in Prince Albert. He is also an educational consultant, and owns the Oxford Learning Centre in Saskatoon and the Calgary Crowfoot centre, serving on the Advisory Council for Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. of London, Ontario. He has served on the University Senate, as Co-president of a junior college, and on numerous committees connected with post-secondary education and community development. He also has degrees in Economics and Theology, and lives on a farm near Saskatoon with his spouse, Sherry Pultz. He can never get enough golfing.
