Throughout history, many women in astronomy have been under-recognized for their contributions. In celebration of International Day of Women and Girls in Science, USask astronomy students—Simone Hagey, Mikayla Rychel, Makayla Heslip, Maia Wallis, Alex Rosset, Samantha VanDeventer and Rina Rast—will present a public lecture explaining how women in astronomy have changed our understanding of the structure of the universe.

After the talk, visit the University of Saskatchewan Observatory for refreshments and night sky viewings.
