Stone Carving II: Architectural and Figurative Elements

Prerequisite: Stone Carving I

Progressing from Stone Carving I, students will have the option of progressing further into architectural stone carving, lettering in stone or exploring human figurative elements. Elements include tool skills, texturing and design layout for deep relief carving. Students will learn to work from their drafted design and/or maquette to stone. Project options: foliage vines, green men, ionic volutes, human figurative elements.


Students must have the tools used in Stone Carving I or equivalent. The $100 is for the stone.
