The College of Arts and Science has published its annual update on “Think Big – Be Bold,” the college’s plan to 2025.
Featured on the college plan webpage, the fall 2020 progress report provides updates on the college’s progress toward its major commitments: Students First, Equity and Diversity in Faculty and Staff, Excellence in RSAW, and New Curricula.
Highlights from the year include research grants totalling $32.3M; the hiring of a new vice-dean Indigenous and the inaugural Gabriel Dumont Research Chair in Métis Studies; three faculty members honoured by the Royal Society of Canada; and new innovations in remote teaching.
The third College Planning Advisory Committee, which guides the college in implementing its plan, formed in August. The members of the committee—faculty, staff and students—are listed online.
