Distinguished staff award nominees recognized

At a special luncheon on May 8, Dean Peta Bonham-Smith recognized 15 employees of the College of Arts and Science who have been nominated for the 2019 Dean’s Distinguished Staff Award.

The annual award honours two outstanding members of the College of Arts and Science staff who have made an extraordinary contribution to the college’s working environment.

College employees are nominated for the award by staff, students, faculty or administrators on the basis of the college’s core competencies and values: excellence, integrity, diversity, creativity, innovation, knowledge and personal growth.

Two winners of the 2019 Dean’s Distinguished Staff Award will be announced from among the nominees at Faculty Council on Tuesday, May 14.

The 2019 College of Arts and Science Dean’s Distinguished Staff Award nominees:

  • Joseph Anderson: Office coordinator, Department of Art and Art History / Arts and Science Administrative Support Group
  • Kathy Arnie: Senior undergraduate services assistant, Undergraduate Student Office
  • Sandy Bonny: Coordinator, Indigenous Student Achievement Pathways
  • Tara Hackl: Executive assistant, Office of the Vice-Dean RSAW / Office of the Vice-Dean Faculty Relations
  • Victoria Harms: Science outreach coordinator, Science Outreach Office
  • Tracene Harvey: Director, Museum of Antiquities
  • Peter Krebs: College secretary, College Office
  • Myrna Lindenbach: Administrative assistant, Office of the Vice-Dean Faculty Relations
  • Megan Loessl: Office coordinator, Department of Economics / Arts and Science Administrative Support Group
  • Joni Morman: Graduate program coordinator, Department of Psychology / Arts and Science Administrative Support Group
