Seven nominees for the 2018 Dean’s Distinguished Staff Award were honoured by Dean Peta Bonham-Smith

A group of exceptional employees of the College of Arts & Science were recognized at a luncheon hosted by Dean Peta Bonham-Smith on April 11.

The seven staff members are nominees for the 2018 Dean’s Distinguished Staff Award, which honours employees who have made an extraordinary contribution to the working environment.

Two of the nominees will be chosen as recipients of the award. They will be recognized at an upcoming meeting of Faculty Council.

The 2018 College of Arts & Science Dean’s Distinguished Staff Award nominees:

  • Marjorie Granrude: clerical assistant, Department of Physics and Engineering Physics
  • Peter Krebs: college secretary, College Office
  • Joni Morman: graduate secretary, Department of Psychology
  • Joni Onclin: executive research assistant to the Canada Research Chair in Water Resources and Climate Change, Department of Geography & Planning
  • Nadine Penner: graduate programs administrative coordinator, Administrative Support Group
  • Vasu Penugonde: lab coordinator, Department of Biology
  • Alex Werenka: academic advisor, Undergraduate Student Office
