Canadian Paleontology Conference 2018

CPC 2018 will be held at the University of Saskatchewan September 21st-24th.
An Icebreaker will be held on the evening of the 21st in the Museum of Natural Science attached to the Geology Building. The technical sessions will be held on the 22nd and 23rd, with both oral sessions and poster sessions. Oral presentations will be 15 minute presentations with 5 additional minutes for questions. Posters have a maximum size of 4 feet by 6 feet, and will be available for viewing during the entire conference.
A special session on ichnology honoring the legacy of George Pemberton will take place during the conference. George's impact on the field has been enormous and various aspects of ichnology will be covered in the session.
There will be a public lecture by Dr Ryan McKellar, of the Royal Saskatchewan Museum titled "Cretaceous amber: glimpses of terrestrial ecosystems during the ‘Age of Dinosaurs’". The public lecture will be free to anyone to attend and will be on September 22nd at 4:30 in Biology 106. The Abstract deadline is September 7th. There will be a field trip on Monday September 24th to the Canadian Light Source and Wanuskewin Heritage Park.
