The Department of English graduate students are pleased to announce the upcoming Literary Eclectic Graduate Student Conference being held this Friday and Saturday, October 25 and 26 in Arts 102.

Graduate students from across Canada will present exciting papers on diverse topics: from medieval literature to modern cinema and everything in between.

Dr. Sealy Gilles, Keynote Speaker

The Keynote Speaker, Dr. Sealy Gilles from Long Island University, will be giving a talk titled John Donne, Esi Edugyan, and the medieval leper: Eclecticism in the Age of Specialization at 3:30pm in Arts 102 followed by a panel of creative writers.

A wine reception will follow at 6:30 at Emmanuel and St. Chad. Dr. Gilles’ talk will be of interest to faculty working in medieval and renaissance studies.
