Drawing provides a strong foundation for all art exploration. Working with a variety of drawing materials you will explore composition, line, form, balance, and light. Exercieses may include gesture drawing, still life, contour drawing, geometric forms and portraiture.

Drawing II/III (Tues. p.m.)

Prerequisite-Drawing I or comparable experience
This course offers further exploration and experimentation with drawing materials, surfaces and processes.  Students will learn different techniques based on movements in Art & Art History such as cubism, impressionism traditional & contemporary landscape & figure drawing.

Drawing: The Human Figure (Wed. p.m.)

Prerequisite: Drawing experience is an asset. This is an all levels course.

Drawing the nude figure is of value not only to drawing students but to sculpture and painting students as well. Working with a variety of materials you will build skills by exploring the skeletal and musculature components of the figure, its expressive qualities and its relationship to its environment.
