The Department of History and the Interdisciplinary Centre for Culture and Creativity invite you to join us for a special keynote lecture by Dr. Donna Gabaccia, Professor of History and Interim Chair at the University of Toronto (Scarborough) as part of the interdisciplinary Beyond Borders: A Workshop in Transnationalism. No registration required.

Dr. Gabaccia is an internationally-renown scholar of global migration, gender, and transnationalism, also known for her interdisciplinary and digital history collaborations and her directorship of the Immigration History Research Center at the University of Minnesota. Her most recent book, Foreign Relations: Global Perspectives on U.S. won the 2013 Theodore Saloutos Prize for the best book in American Immigration and Ethnic History of the Immigration and Ethnic History Society. Her lecture, entitled “The Past in Motion: Reflections on Transnational Scholarship” will highlight how transnationalism has shaped her and others’ work
