Disney/Marvel mini-series “Echo” screening and talk with co-star Katarina Ziervogel

Katarina is a deaf Anishnaabe/Mohawk/German actor from Sagkeeng First Nation, Treaty 1 territory, who co-stars in “Echo” as Maya’s mother, Taloa. After the screening of episode 5. Katarina will talk about her experience and the intersection of deaf and Indigenous in the film industry and Deneh’Cho Thompson from Department of Drama will speak on the significance and impact of “Echo” for Indigenous peoples. Audience discussion and Q&A will follow.
