Four alumni of the College of Arts & Science won Saskatchewan Book Awards at the 2017 awards ceremony held in Regina on April 29.

University of Saskatchewan Non-Fiction Award
A World We Have Lost: Saskatchewan Before 1905 (Fifth House Publishers) by Bill Waiser (professor emeritus, MA’76, PhD’83, DLitt’10)

City of Regina Book Award and the Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport Publishing Award
Towards a Prairie Atonement (University of Regina Press) by Trevor Herriot (BA’79, Honours’81)
Bohdan Kordan, professor of political studies in St. Thomas More College at the University of Saskatchewan, received the Jennifer Welsh Scholarly Writing Award for his book No Free Man: Canada, the Great War, and the Enemy Alien Experience (McGill Queen’s University Press). This award is co-sponsored by the College of Arts & Science and named for alumna Jennifer Welsh (BA'87).
