The Department of Linguistics and Religious Studies

The Department of Linguistics and Religious Studies houses undergraduate and graduate programs in Linguistics and in Religion & Culture, as well as offers ESL, and Asian languages and cultures courses.

Department faculty teach courses in Linguistics, English as a Second Language, Asian languages (Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, and Sanskrit), Asian Religions (Buddhism, Chinese and Japanese Religions, Hinduism, Islam), and the cultures of Asia (China, India, Japan, and the Islamic World).
