MFA in Writing Grad Danielle Altrogge Featured in Flow Magazine

Posted on 2018-02-05 in MFA in Writing News

MFA in Writing graduate Danielle Altrogge is featured on the February/March 2018 cover of Flow Magazine as one of the year's inspiring local women.

The issue features an interview with the spoken word poet and interdisciplinary performer who was recently named Executive Director of the 25th Street Theatre, producer of the Nutrien Fringe Theatre and Street Festival. "I love the idea of bringing artist collaboration from the stage to the street," she said. "Theatre can be so many things and I get excited about the idea of looking at performances in new and unconventional ways".

With this new role, she is looking forward to encouraging the growth of a creative community to all types of people from theatre novices to professional artists. "The thing about the Fringe is that anyone can produce a show. There's room to try new ideas - even ones that could fail. I think that the trial and error process, of taking creative risks (means) exciting ideas can pop up and surprise you. I can't wait to watch it unfold!"
