Department of Biology
Rachel grew up in Saskatoon, SK. After high school she lived for a year in Dublin, Ireland, and later spent several years living in Cusco, Peru. Rachel joined the Gray Lab in spring of 2014, and completed her B.Sc. in Biology at the University of Saskatchewan in 2015. Currently she is working on her Masters. Rachel’s project focuses on the effects of a neonicotinoid pesticide on the response of an identified descending visual neuron in the locust. In addition, Rachel is a lab demonstrator for BIOL 224, Animal Body Systems, BIOL 317, Fundamentals of Animal Physiology, and BIOL 318, Comparative Animal Systems Physiology, in the department of Biology.
