2017 English Honours Colloquium
The Annual English Honours Colloquium was held on 3 February 2017. This well-attended celebration of undergraduate research featured over 20 impressive papers on topics including the politics and poetics of Canadian landscapes, character in contemporary science and speculative fiction, pathways through Dante’s Divine Comedy, gender dynamics in Geoffrey Chaucer’s poetry, code-switching in the transnational texts of Ruth Goring, courtship in 19th C. British fiction, and the disruption of colonial narratives through film and writing.
