Shakti Brazier-Tompkins, "Sensibility and Similitude: The Power of Animal Stories”

We feel more connected to those we recognize as similar to ourselves. Can animal stories break down the species barrier?

Shakti is a senior doctoral student in the Department of English at the University of Saskatchewan. She has just completed her dissertation on “Tracking the Real Thing: Representation, Relationship, and Masculinity in the Animal Stories of Euro-Canadian Men.”
