Congratulations to the 2018 Indigenous Student Achievement Award Recipients!

English students Katie Turner and Lisa Tourangeau were two of the recipients of the 2018 Indigenous Student Achievement Awards in the area of academic excellence. 

Each year, Indigenous Achievement Week celebrates the successes and contributions of Métis, First Nations and Inuit students, staff and faculty. Events focus on achievements in academics, research, education, community engagement and leadership.

One of the highlights of the week is the Indigenous Student Achievement Awards Ceremony. This year, 44 indigenous students were honoured for their academic, leadership and community outreach accomplishments. The awards ceremony took place on Thursday, February 8 in the Gordon Oakes Red Bear Student Centre.
