This presentation will describe some of my activities during my sabbatical stay at Synchrotron Soleil in Gif-sur-Yvette, France. I will describe some of the new develops in the field of IR imaging and microscopy of electrochemical systems. The talk will also highlight some of the recent developments in the Burgess research group related to our work on anisotropic gold nanoparticles.
